How should I prepare my home/property for the photo shoot?
We recommend each room is clean and tidied up. Furniture and normal household items (soap dish, napkin holder on a dining table, etc) can be left out.
- Clean all windows inside & out
- Clean all mirrors in the bathroom & bedroom
- Curtains should be neatly tied
- Avoid dirty dishes and other items left out in the sink
- Wash down any dirty sidings and driveway
- The lawn should be mowed and free of debris
- Basement and garage should be organized
At times, we may move the furniture such as a small lounge chair, an ottoman or items that can give the room a better look or could become a distraction to the photos. This will be communicated in advance and will your permission to do so.
How long will the shoot take?
Real Estate photo shoot can take anywhere from an hour to few hours depending on the size of your home and the service you request from us. For most homes under 2,000 sq ft., we average about an hour to hour and a half. Larger homes and any properties with special architectural features can take up to few hours. Again, it all depends on the size as well as the type of service you request from us.
How many photos will I receive?
Please see our pricing page which details how many photos you’ll expect to receive. We generally send all our files in 1000 pixels (at the longest side) in a high quality JPG format ready to be uploaded to any MLS site.
We generally send all our photos through a cloud storage so you’ll have access to those photos for 30 days. After 30 days while we keep a backup, you will not have access to the photos.
What time do you normally do the shoot?
We generally do all of our shoot in the late afternoon on weekdays and depending on the availability, morning and mid-day on weekends (extra charge applies).
Can I share my photos on Facebook or other social media?
Yes. We do ask that you properly disclose and credit LaCount Photography as we retain all copyrights to our real estate images. While we have no problem our clients sharing the photos of the home on social media platform, the images we provide are absolutely not for reproduction or for physical prints.
Do you do Real Estate videos?
At this time we do not but are actively looking to add it to our service.
Do you do aerial photography using a drone?
We do not as we are not licensed with the FAA. Any commercial videography and photography using a drone in the U.S. requires the operator to hold a pilot license. We have no plans to use drone any time in the future but are looking for ways to bring aerial photography through other legal means.
